The Patricia Neal Rehabilitation CenterWho was Patricia Neal? Fort Sanders Foundation
The Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center (PNRC) meets the needs of thousands of patients and their families each year. As the center continues to serve our community, there are many opportunities for you to further strengthen our programs and services, and contribute to our success.
Donations to PNRC are used to support services such as patient care scholarships, family and community education and prevention programs, innovative therapy equipment, and continuing education and certification opportunities for the staff. Opportunities are also available for donors to specify particular clinical needs or programs where they would like to make an impact with a charitable gift. All gifts to the center qualify as charitable deductions for tax purposes.

Held each year in August, the prestigious Patricia Neal Golf Classic has raised over $5 million in net proceeds to support the programs, services and staff of the Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center. The tournament brings together Tennessee professional golfers with amateurs from across the U.S. for a worthwhile cause at one of the state’s top courses, Holston Hills Country Club.
Memorials & Honorariums
Contributions made in memory, or in honor, of a loved one are opportunities for patients, families, and friends to pay tribute to a special person and help others in need at the same time. These gifts are an excellent way to honor center staff, therapists and physicians who have provided you outstanding service. Other events that may call for special recognition include the birth of a baby, birthdays, anniversaries, and graduations. A contribution to PNRC in honor of the special person is a wonderful way to show your care for them.
Families may request that friends make a contribution to PNRC in lieu of flowers at the time of a loved one’s death. This information can be added to the obituary notice in local papers, and is a truly meaningful way to memorialize a loved one and ensure the future of high quality rehabilitation care in our region.
Some individuals may wish to provide substantial gifts to support the center and its important service in our community. There are many ways to make such gifts. One of the most common is a bequest – include the Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center in your will. Other ideas include charitable trusts, gift annuities, pooled income fund, donations of real property and many other options.
The staff of Fort Sanders Foundation is available to provide more information on these and other gift options. Please contact us at (865)531-5210 with any questions or for additional information on how your contributions can help PNRC.
