Deconditioning

Many people who have endured extended illness, surgery, or chemotherapy become physically de-conditioned. To return to an independent life, they may require a brief rehabilitation stay to rebuild their endurance and stamina and to regain movement and muscle mass.

Orthopedics/Amputees

Total hip and knee replacements, multiple fractures (including a broken hip or leg), neck and back dysfunctions and amputations are all disorders treated through the Orthopedic Program at Pat Neal. Helping patients return to a productive, independent lifestyle is the goal.

This is achieved through acute pain management, restoring movement and range of motion, strengthening muscles and improving overall mobility. Inpatient rehab is generally a short duration with follow-up care provided by home health agencies or outpatient clinics.

Also, the amputee program provides specific education focused on topics ranging from pain management following amputation to positioning needs.
